In Kalamazoo, she served as president of the Kalamazoo District Nurses Association, and held memberships in The Business and Professional Women's Club and the Elks Ladies Club. She also held a leadership role in Planned Parenthood. She was preceeded in death by three husbands, Alan Rankin, Charles Evinger and Thomas Sullivan. Also preceeded in death by four sisters and one brother. She is survived by her sons, John Rankin and wife, Faith of Easton Rapids, MI and Jim Rankin and wife, Margie of Heathsville, VA; three grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a local Hospice Service of your choice. Faulkner Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Burgess, Virginia, is handling the arrangements.

    Survivors include two sons, John Rankin of Easton Rapids, Mich., and Jim Rankin of Heathsville, Va; three grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
    Services: A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Faulkner Family Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Burgess, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
